Up until Hurricane Sandy, I had never experienced a natural disaster that left local communities struggling a full three weeks after it hit. But, low and behold, people are still picking up the pieces.
Across the bridge, Nyack and Piermont suffered significant coastal damage. The residents are still putting the pieces together.
As you may know, I work with a band called GLINT. They are based out of Nyack, NY, and have recently released an EP on iTunes for the purposes of raising money to aid relief efforts. Using photos that band manager Adam Jordan took of the damage, I built a cover and informational booklet for the release.
Please take a moment to open iTunes and purchase “Rivertown Relief Effort” by GLINT! 100% of artist proceeds will go towards victims of Hurricane Sandy in the Nyack / Piermont area.
